CAPTAIN IGOR

Co-Founder & Chief Skipper

With over 20 years of sailing experience and more than a decade as a certified sailing instructor, Captain Igor brings world-class maritime expertise to every charter. His passion for the sea has taken him across the Mediterranean—with successful skippered charters in Italy and Greece—as well as two memorable voyages through the Caribbean.

Before launching Butterfli Yacht Club, Igor spent 40+ years in the tech world as a Software QA Specialist, known for his precision, reliability, and calm leadership — skills he now brings aboard every cruise. His mix of professional discipline and deep love for sailing ensures every guest enjoys a safe, smooth, and unforgettable experience.

GOBA RAI

Founder & Onboard Operations Lead

GOBA is the visionary behind Butterfli Yacht Club, bringing together his lifelong passion for boats and a desire to create Toronto’s most personal yacht rental experience. A trained Day Skipper in sheltered waters, he’s deeply involved in the daily operations, logistics, and guest experience of each charter.

Before entering the marine industry, GOBA served as a dedicated soldier, where he developed the leadership, discipline, and teamwork that now anchor the Butterfli Yacht Club’s strong service values. His energy, hospitality, and passion for the water help shape every trip into something truly special.
